What is Tekion?
Tekion Automotive Retail Cloud is one of the most modern dealer platforms on the US market, with a single cloud layer across sales, service and parts, and deep OEM integrations. Technically it is impressive. The issue for a Nordic dealer is not quality but geography: it does not connect to Bilbasen, Finn.no or Blocket, it does not read the Danish motor register, it does not sign with MitID, and it does not model Danish margin-scheme VAT or Nordic registration duty. There is also no local implementation and support route.
Tekion strengths
- Modern cloud DMS architecture
- Strong US OEM integrations
- One platform across sales, service and parts
Tekion limitations
- No Nordic portals or registries
- No MitID or Nordic e-signature
- No Danish margin-scheme VAT or Nordic duty logic
- Built for large US dealer groups
- No local Nordic implementation or support

Our verdict
Tekion is a strong answer to a US question. For a Nordic dealer the decisive factors are the local portals, the motor register, MitID and local VAT and duty handling, and those are exactly what a US platform does not carry. CARRUSLiNK is built on them.
