    Consent (GDPR) in car sales

Consent is the customer's freely given, specific and documentable acceptance that the dealer may contact them with marketing by email or SMS. It must be collected separately from the deal itself, be as easy to withdraw as it was to give, and be logged with timestamp and wording.

A dealer may contact an existing customer about similar services, but repurchase campaigns, newsletters and SMS flows to cold prospects require active consent.

The practical problem is rarely the checkbox — it is the documentation. A year later, can you show when the customer said yes, to what, and how an opt-out was handled?

A workable setup logs consent on the customer record, respects opt-outs across every outbound flow, and stops automated follow-up the moment consent is withdrawn.

CARRUSLiNK logs consent and opt-out on the customer record and immediately halts every marketing flow for that customer.
