Lead source
A lead source is the channel an enquiry arrives through: a car portal, your own website, phone, Google Ads, Facebook, a referral or an existing customer. The source is recorded on the lead so the dealer can measure volume, quality and cost per channel instead of guessing where sales come from.
Without a source on the lead you can measure revenue but not what created it. Then the ad budget gets allocated by habit.
The interesting number is not leads per channel but conversion rate and gross margin per channel. The most expensive channel is often the cheapest per car sold.
The source must be set automatically. Manual tagging leaves gaps, and gaps produce wrong decisions.
In CARRUSLiNK
CARRUSLiNK sets the source automatically on leads from portals, forms and phone, and shows conversion per channel.
