Replacement window
A replacement window is the period in which an existing customer is reasonably likely to change car, estimated from ownership time, mileage development, service history and — for leasing — the agreed expiry date. The window is used to prioritise which customers are contacted when, instead of contacting the whole base.
For leasing the window is known in advance because the expiry date is in the contract. For financed and cash purchases it is an estimate that must be justifiable.
The window is a prioritisation mechanic, not a prediction. It determines the order of contact and which offer is relevant.
Contact within the window requires a valid marketing basis per customer and channel, and that basis must be documentable.
In CARRUSLiNK
CARRUSLiNK collects ownership time, mileage, service and contract expiry on the customer card, turning the replacement window into a task at a point in time rather than a campaign to everyone.
