DMR (Danish Motor Register)
DMR is the Danish Motor Registry's record of every registered vehicle in Denmark. It contains technical data, ownership and keeper details, inspection history, duty status and registration status. A lookup by registration number or VIN gives the dealer verified vehicle data without manual entry.
DMR is the base registry. Everything about a car's identity, inspection and registration is there, and it is the only authoritative source.
For the dealer the value is practical: one lookup instead of 20 fields, and fewer errors on contracts and listings because the data was not typed by a human.
Access to DMR data in practice often runs through a data provider such as Synsbasen, which wraps the registry in an API.
