Vehicle ↔ customer match: when the right car arrives, you know
Ulrik from Granturismo put it clearly: 'A customer wants to test drive a red Model X. Two weeks later, an exact match arrives from the leasing provider — but no one realizes it. Solve that.' Here is how auto-matching between customer requests and incoming vehicles works.

Short answer
Customer requests (make, model, color, price range, transmission) are saved in a structured wishlist. When a vehicle arrives — via finance partners, trade-ins, or external sourcing — the system scans all active wishlists. Match → sales rep notification and automatic SMS to the customer. No more lost leads buried in inboxes.
Why leads die in the inbox
- The customer emailed their request 3 weeks ago — the sales rep forgot all about it
- When the car arrives, nobody knows a customer is waiting for it
- Wishlists don't exist as structured data — only scattered notes and free text
- The sales rep handling the customer is away on vacation
- No automatic matching between incoming inventory and pending requests
- The customer buys or leases from a competitor who was faster to respond
How auto-match works
1. Struktureret wishlist
When a customer makes an inquiry (form, call, email), it is saved systematically: make, model, color, max monthly payment, target delivery date, transmission, drivetrain. Structured data, not free text.
2. Wishlists include an expiration date
Requests remain active for 90 days by default (customizable per customer). Once expired, an automated 'Still interested?' SMS goes out — re-engaging leads before they go cold.
3. Incoming vehicle triggers an automatic match scan
When a vehicle is added — via finance partner import, trade-in, or external sourcing — the system scans all active wishlists for matching make, model, price, and color.
4. Sales rep notification
Match → task generated on the sales rep's daily dashboard with customer file, vehicle card, and suggested message. The sales rep can call before the car even enters detailing.
5. Automated customer SMS (opt-in)
If the customer opted into automatic notifications: 'Hi [Name], we just received a [car] matching your search. Would you like us to reserve it for a test drive?'
6. Tracking & reporting
Match rates, conversions from matched leads, average turnaround from request creation to match. Identify high-demand vehicle profiles and use them as sourcing signals.
What you get from vehicle ↔ customer match
Aldrig tabte leads
Every customer request + every incoming vehicle = an automated scan. No more 'I forgot to mention it to Lars'.
The sales rep reaches out first
You call the customer before the car is on Bilbasen. The competitor never even gets to see it.
Automated SMS to the customer
With customer opt-in, they get notified directly — even faster conversion.
Wishlist as a data type
Structured preferences, not free-text notes. Searchable, reportable, actionable.
Robust mod personskift
Sales rep on holiday? The wishlist still matches automatically — the task lands with the on-duty sales rep.
Purchasing signal
If 12 customers want a red Model X, you know exactly what to source next time.
