CARRUSLiNK vs. Automaster
Automaster is a heavy Nordic DMS built for brand dealers. CARRUSLiNK is built for independent dealerships that want to run sales, service contracts and customer relationships without a consultancy project.

What is Automaster?
Automaster (CDK Global / Tietoevry) is one of the largest Dealer Management Systems in the Nordics, mainly used by brand dealers (Volkswagen, Toyota, Volvo etc.) in Sweden, Norway and Finland. It covers workshop, parts, accounting and OEM reporting, but requires implementation, consultants and long contracts. For independent used-car dealers it's both overkill and too heavy.
Automaster strengths
- Deep workshop/DMS functionality
- Established with large brand dealers across the Nordics
- OEM reporting to manufacturers
Automaster limitations
- Expensive and complex to implement
- Built for brand dealers, not independents
- Dated UX and long release cycles
- No recurring service contracts out of the box
- Requires consultants even for small changes

Our verdict
Automaster makes sense for large brand dealers with their own IT department, whether they sit in Sweden, Norway, Finland or Denmark. If instead you're an independent Nordic dealer wanting to sell cars, run service contracts and stay in touch with customers without a 6-month implementation project, CARRUSLiNK is a far more relevant choice, built for your local market (contracts, VAT, portals) and with natural integration to workshop systems.
