# Prospect

> A prospect is a person who has not yet shown concrete buying interest but matches the dealer's target group: a previous customer, a lease customer expiring in a year, or the owner of a car the dealer wants to buy. A lead is a prospect who has reached out.

The difference between prospect and lead is not academic. A lead must be answered within minutes; a prospect is worked over months. Mix them in one list and the leads drown.

The best prospects already sit in the dealer's own data: leases about to expire, service agreements ending, cars sold three to four years ago.

A prospect is only worth something once it has a trigger and a date. Without that, the list becomes a spreadsheet nobody opens.

## In CARRUSLiNK

CARRUSLiNK separates prospects from active leads and triggers contact on a date — contract expiry, service visit or ownership age — instead of a manual list.
