# DMR (Danish Motor Register)

> DMR is the Danish Motor Registry's record of every registered vehicle in Denmark. It contains technical data, ownership and keeper details, inspection history, duty status and registration status. A lookup by registration number or VIN gives the dealer verified vehicle data without manual entry.

DMR is the base registry. Everything about a car's identity, inspection and registration is there, and it is the only authoritative source.

For the dealer the value is practical: one lookup instead of 20 fields, and fewer errors on contracts and listings because the data was not typed by a human.
